Tiger Leaping Gorge

The Tiger Leaping Gorge in Yunnan province, China, is the deepest gorge in the world, and is one of the most spectacular hikes in China.

On the first day, our English speaking tour guide will pick up you from your hotel and drive to Tiger Leaping Gorge. It takes 2 hours driving roughly to be there. We will start our hike from Qiaotour town, and hike 3 hours through mountains and forests, then arrive at our lunch place, Nuoyu Village(Naxi Family G.H.). Experience the local minorities’ architecture culture and enjoy the delicious Naxi foods, then continue to hike through the challenge 28 bends, and arrive at Yongsheng Village, Overnight at Tea Horse G.H.

Total up we hike around 5 hours and 12 kilometers roughly today.

On the 2nd day, we start out hike from Tea Horse G.H. and take 2 hours to Half-Way G.H. and have a break there, enjoy the great view of the Gorge and and Mountains, lunch arranged at here. After lunch, we proceed our hike, walk through the Guanyin waterfalls and a local small temples, and walk down the slope to Middle Gorge (Tina’s Guest House). After a few minutes break, we can take our car back to Lijiang and finish our 2 days hike.

Today, we totally walk around 11 kilometers and it takes 5 hours hike roughly.

During the 2 days hiking, we will hike 23 kilometers and gain the altitude 1200 meters.
