Dali, a popular travel destination in Yunnan Province, attracts people from all over the world. Dali's peaceful vibe and stunning views will help you forget your worries and troubles. Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake are the two most famous attractions in Dali.
Dali Old Town is one of Yunnan's most popular tourist destinations. It has a history of 1,200 years and was the capital of the Nanzhao Kingdom.
Erhai Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in China, the people of Dali consider Erhai Lake to be their "mother lake". This plateau lake is like a deep blue gem set in the green land. When the breeze blows, its surface is billowed into wavelets, sparkling in the sunlight. The Changshang mountain peaks are often mirrored in the lake, along with the sun and moon.
The Three Pagodas was built 1,300 years ago. It is a symbol of the history of Dali City, and a record of the development of Buddhism in the area. As its name implies, Three Pagodas are made of three ancient independent pagodas forming a symmetrical triangle. This is unique in China.
The Zhang's Mansion in Dali was the imperial palace of the Tang Dynasty's King Zhang Lejinqiu, which was later damaged and rebuilt by his descendants.
It features the most traditional architectural patterns of the Bai ethnic group, such as the "Three house and One screen wall" and the "Four house and Five courtyards". Here, you can also experience the three courses of tea with Bai people's singing and dancing.
